Navigation training complex - NTS-Pro 4000 (Radar/ARPA)

The training complex is designed for formation at mariners of skills on:

• definition of element motions of ships by a graphic way;
• ocular estimation of radar situation;
• choice and performance of manoeuvre for a sailing in the open sea and in congested water;
• using ARPA;
• sailing on waterways equipped with marks of a navigating protection;
• passing of straits and areas with navigating dangers;
• using ECDIS

Simulator consists of 6 trainee workplace with sub-system and instructor's workplace

Functional capabilities

• Dynamic characteristics of vessels are controlled by operators corresponds to ves-sels operational by The Buyer. The Simulator can accept the characteristics for vessels of other types used in marine and river fleet.
• Size of a model area, miles - 100 x 100;
• Depths of the model area, meters 0 - 500;
• The number of shadow sectors - 4;
• Size of a shadow sector, degree 0 - 10;
• External influence:
  • wind speed, m/sec 0 - 40;
  • wind direction, degree 0 - 359;
  • stream speed, knots 0 - 5;
  • stream direction,
  • degree 0 - 359;
• Maximum distance to find a target, miles 30;
• Maximum distance to find a coast, miles 20;
• Swinging range, degree 0 - 5;
• Precision of reflection:
  • ship velocity, knots 0.1;
  • heading, degree 1;
  • distance to target vessel, miles 0.01;
  • bearing to target vessel, degree 0.4.

Navigation conditions are simulated:

• active ships ( from 2 to 6 ), controlled by operators;
• ship-targets ( up to 20 ), controlled by instructor and/or program;
• navigation marks ( up to 100 );
• coastline, including straits, sea and river water areas;
• wind, stream;
• disturbances to radar observation;
• depths
• ship tracks;
• coastal line ;
• navigation border signs;
• coordinate axes;
• official information.
